Berkshire County has had a lot of excitement surrounding youth sports over the last several weeks. Tuesday night, the Berkshire Force softball team got kudos and recognition for an incredible season at City Hall in Pittsfield.

The 12U team representing Berkshire County made it all the way to the Babe Ruth World Series Diamond Bracket. Not only that, but they finished third place overall. Last week, Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer announced that a celebration of their achievements would take place and it delivered in spades.

Tyer also posted a video of the team's arrival to City Hall on a Pittsfield Fire Department truck. Check out the video of their arrival below:

In addition to the ceremony, the team was awarded a certificate of recognition to kick off Tuesday night's Pittsfield City Council meeting.

I think I speak for everybody in Berkshire County in congratulating the Berkshire Force softball team on an incredible run this summer. You have earned these well-deserved accolades.
