We have all been looking at the construction going on with the new Chilis Restaurant and everyone wants to know when it will open, I even went by there there on Friday on my way to do some shopping and had to look over myself.

Well, we found out that The new Chili's Grill and Bar will be open soon at Berkshire Crossing in Pittsfield.

The newly built eatery is scheduled to open in mid- to late December, according to Kristen Moore, a spokesperson for Brixmor Property Group, which owns Berkshire Crossing. The Berkshire Eagle reports that this year, the city approved plans to demolish the Hubbard Avenue building that housed Old Country Buffet, which closed abruptly in February 2016.

The city also OK'd plans to construct a 4,500-square-foot restaurant in its place, in the development's outparcel along Dalton Avenue. Since first opening in 1975, Chili's now has hundreds of sister locations in 32 countries, offering a Tex-Mex cuisine.

I have seen mixed reactions on Facebook to a Chilis opening, some folks love the idea others not so much naming other restaurants they think would be a better fit, and even saying that the building is too small for a Chilis.
