My love for radio started a little kid listening to a transistor radio under my pillow every night when I went to bed. As I entered my early teens, I got a CB radio. I was hooked and the thought of sitting on my a** talking into a microphone and getting paid for it set me on a path to go to broadcasting school after graduating high school. I’ve been on the radio or overseeing the operation of radio stations ever since. I’m now in my 40th year in radio and have transitioned from turntables to CD players to computer operating systems. Technologically in the business has changed drastically. What hasn’t changed it the amazing and talented people I have worked with along the way and the music that connects to listeners on a very personal level.
