Massachusetts is Home to 2 of the Absolute Hottest Zip Codes in the U.S.
While it is still Summer, with some hotter temperatures in the forecast for the next week in Massachusetts, that isn't exactly what we're talking about when we say the "hottest zip codes" in the U.S. The Bay State just happens to be home to two of the top three most sought after zip codes to live in 2025.
According to recent 2025 data released by Realtor.com, there are certain zip codes on the list that have been booming due to their proximity to some of the larger cities all throughout the U.S. In fact, five of the top 10 "hottest zip codes" for real estate are in the New England region, with two of those in Massachusetts. And better yet, those two in the Bay State were in the top three in the country, with one of those taking the #1 spot overall.
What Two Zip Code Rank in the Top Three Hottest Zip Codes in the U.S.?
At the #3 spot on the list, we have Leominster (01453). The Worcester suburb had a median listing price from January to June of 2025 of $441,000.
As for the #1 spot, if you go just to the north of Salem, MA, you may just run into the town of Beverly (01915). That is the hottest zip code in the U.S. Despite having the highest median listing price at $719,000 for the first half of 2025, Realtor.com explains what makes Beverly the hottest zip code in the U.S. right now:
Buyers are drawn by Beverly’s commuter rail access to Boston, its natural beauty, and its blend of small-town charm with big-city convenience. Homes in Beverly spent just 16 days on the market, received nearly five times more listing views than the national average, and sold for a median price that, though steep, was still a discount compared to other parts of Boston. Its mix of livability, value, and proximity to Boston solidified its place as the country’s hottest ZIP code of 2025.
And there they are. Massachusetts has two of the top three hottest zip codes in the U.S. It seems as if there's always multiple spots in the Bay State near the top of that list. If you've been through either of those Massachusetts spots, you definitely understand why that is.
