Welker posted the following from his Elm St. Barbershop Facebook page...

Dear Elm St. Customers,
We wanted to let all of you know that at the end of this month, Elm St. Barbershop will be closing its doors.
We have owned Elm St. Barbershop for the last 6 years. This was a very bittersweet and difficult decision for us. We wanted to thank the barbers, entire community and all of our clients for always supporting us through everything we have been through.
We could not have expanded the business and moved over to the new space 3 years ago without your support. We are also so thankful to have been voted ‘Best of the Berkshires’ for the last 3 years.
When the pandemic hit, and we were forced to shut down for several months and then opened again; it was so nice to see so many familiar faces back to show loyalty to us. We appreciate each and every one of you that has shared conversation and laughed and joked with us and talked about life….
Thank you for making Elm St. Barbershop what we always hoped it would be…a family barbershop that people enjoyed coming to. Thank you for your business and friendships along the way.
If you would like to still follow Chris as a Barber, he will be working in Lenox, at Lenox Legacy Barbershop.
Thank you.
- Chris and Nikki Welker
Welker purchased the barbershop from Tony Riello (Rocco's North End Barbershop of Pittsfield) in 2016.
At the the time it was located next to Evergreen Salon on Elm St., in 2019 Welker moved the shop to its current location adjacent to Domino's on Elm St.
Welker's new "Lenox Legacy Barbershop" is located on Housatonic St. in Lenox.
