Many say that great foods originated in Massachusetts being that it was one of the first of the 13 original colonies and the 6th state to join the United States of America.

According to Nash of House Eats, even things like basketball was created in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1891 and the first phone call happened in Boston, Massachusetts in 1876 between Alexander Graham Bell and his assistant, Thomas Watson, who was sitting in another room in the house.

So, if you ever decide to leave Massachusetts, there's a chance that these food items may not be available in all parts of the United States. And if they are, you might not get the whole tasting experience.
