The World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Citizen have developed a major broadcast event with some of the world’s biggest artists and entertainers according to the Global Citizen website. https://www.globalcitizen.org

This historic special “One World Together at Home” in support for the Global Covid-19 Response will air on Saturday April 18th starting at 5pm.  This worldwide event will feature Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Elton John, John Legend, Keith Urban, Lizzo, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, David Beckham and many others.  The event will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert.

“One World Together at Home” can be seen on ABC, NBC, CBS, Facebook, YouTube, as well as many other media outlets.  Internationally it will air on BBC and other international broadcasters.

The World Health Organization (WHO) was established 70 years ago yesterday on April 7, 1948 and is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. According to the Global Citizen website, that organization is “a community of people who want to learn about and take action on the world’s biggest challenges”.

According to Global Citizen, the global broadcast and digital special is designed to support front-line healthcare workers and the WHO.
