North Adams Snow Emergency Kicks in at 5PM Today
North Adams has declared a Snow Emergency beginning at 5pm today and lasting though 1pm on Thursday. Violations will be issued for those not following the ordnance. From my past experiences your car is also likely to be buried by the plow operator.
No on-street parking is allowed and travel on city streets should also be limited. The city also reminds residents and businesses that they are responsible for clearing their adjacent sidewalks within 24 hours of the completion of the storm. As a safety measure you should also clear the fire hydrant adjacent to your property.
It is a safe bet that all local cities and towns will be instituting a snow emergency limiting on-street parking.
