Pittsfield and N Adams Christmas tree hunting…Asking for donation of 30 footer…
You know we are getting closer to the holidays when local municipalities start looking for the community Christmas tree. Pittsfield put out the word today and North Adams kept pace. Both Pittsfield and North Adams are asking for a donation of trees.
In North Adams, they are requesting the trees be between 25 and 30 feet tall. They are seeking a number of trees for multiple locations including Main Street at Monument Square and at City Hall in Dr. Arthur Rosenthal Square. According to a post at iBekshires.com, anyone with a tree that fits the description of what the town is looking for should reach out to the North Admas Fire Department at 413-662-3102. According to the post, the tree lighting in North Adams is scheduled for Wednesday, November 24th, the day before Thanksgiving.
In Pittsfield, a holiday tree is being sought through a donation for Park Square. Like North Adams, Pittsfield is seeking a tree approximately 30 feet tall and it should be easily accessible to be cut down and removed from the property. If you have interest in donating a tree reach out to Becky Manship by November 5th at 413-499-9371.
