The Red Sox lit up Blue Jays pitching last night knocking six balls out of the ballpark in Buffalo.  The six homers accounted for 11 Sox runs.  Ten of those runs coming before the 4th inning was over.  Sox rookie and new call-up Jarren Duran hit his first major league tatter over the left field fence in the first inning.  The HR gave the Sox a quick 2-0 league scoring Kike Hernandez on the wack.

With the win and a TB Rays loss, the Red Sox expand their lead in the AL East to 1.5 games.  The Jays lose a game and are back at 7 games back.  The Yankees were idol last night and lose a half game.  They are in 4th in the division now 7.5 games back of the Sox.

Game two of the 3-game series with the Blue Jays is tonight.  The 5-5 Garrett Richards is on the mound for the Sox.  Tom Ross without a win or loss this season throws for the Jays.
