The nominees for entry into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have been announced.

The Doobie Brothers, Pat Benatar, T. Rex, Thin Lizzy, and Whitney Houston are among Whoopee artists with a chance to enter the Hall as part of the Class of 2020.

Other rockers nominated include: Judas Priest, Soundgarden, Dave Matthews Band, Depeche Mode, MC5, Nine Inch Nails, Todd Rundgren, Notorious B.I.G., Kraftwerk, Rufus and Chaka Khan.

The 35th annual induction ceremony will be held on May 2, 2020.

A combination of fan votes and ballots filled out by music industry insiders make will determine who will be inducted.

To be eligible, the group or artist must have released their first commercial recording at least twenty-five years ago.

Inductees will be announced in January.
