Bennington Police received a report late Monday afternoon that a 30-year-old Bennington woman had been kidnapped from Bennington and taken against her will to Springfield, Ma.

Police in Pittsfield responded to two shootings in the city overnight Monday and arrested one suspect who seen shooting from the hood of a car. IBerkshires.com reports that 37-year-old Jesus Lugo, of Pittsfield, was taken into custody after police said he led them on foot chase.

Police from several departments county-wide pitched in to bring a stabbing suspect into custody.

The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office secured on Monday the conviction of a Pittsfield man who assaulted multiple people when he escaped Sheriff’s custody and evaded law enforcement for three days.
