The US Environmental Protection Agency is asking for public input on GE’s Revised Pre-Design Investigation Work Plan for Reach 5A Non-Residential Floodplain Exposure. A media release from the Berkshire Environmental Action Team says that the public input opportunity is not required by law, but something its EPA site team does routinely to give people more input on how the remediation happens.  Rea

They are planning on looking at four of the six cancer types evaluated previously in a 2002 report: breast cancer, liver cancer, and non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Reportedly, epidemiological literature shows some evidence of association of these cancers with exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs.

I am definitely going to this, who wants to go with me? We live in an area that was affected by GE and their dumping of pollutants which in turn contaminated land and water in the towns here in the Berkshires.
