Berkshire County school districts are planning a lifting of their respective masking mandates at some point, but there is no real consensus among them as to when the best time is to carry out the move.

School kids are going to have to continue wearing facemasks for a little longer, at least.

At the start of the 2021 school year, a mask mandate was put in place by the Department of Education until November 1 and that date is just around the corner.

State Education Commissioner Jeffrey Riley has extended the Massachusetts public schools indoor mask mandate for another month.

The CDC says that Americans who are fully vaccinated can now go without masks or physical distancing in most cases, even when they are indoors or in large groups. Governor Charlie Baker is however pumping the breaks in Massachusetts where the mask mandate will remain in place.

The mask mandate in Massachusetts has been in effect for more than a week now, but many people seem to forget that it includes all public spaces.

Governor Charlie Baker’s state-wide mask order takes effect today(11/6). The revised order requires everyone over the age of five to wear masks in all public places even where they are able to maintain six feet of distance.
