Weather has continued to push this project back.  Originally slated to pave Main Street in Lee yesterday, rain forced the project to be put on hold until after midnight tonight. There will be no overnight parking allowed downtown for the next couple of days as Palmer Paving will be paving Main Street and continuing work on Housatonic Street, Center Street, East Center Street and Columbia Street. .

Road work continues today and tomorrow in Lee on Housatonic Street.  The project has been ongoing for a number of weeks and will continue to cause some delays traveling through town.  Paving from the Main Street intersection down Route 20 (Housatonic Street) is in its final stage with work by Palmer Paving expected to possibly be finished Wednesday. Pittsfield has announced the street paving project targets for this spring and summer. Over 9-miles of city streets will be resurfaced.  It is estimated that the total number surfaces in feet adds up to 49,278 which amounts to 9.33 miles.
