Tis the Season

It will be here before you know it, Christmas In The Berkshires. Every year there is a search for a beautiful Christmas tree to adorn Park Square in Pittsfield and also it could be two Christmas trees in the downtown area of North Adams.

The North Adams Fire Department was called to Church Street at around 9:20 AM for a report of a tree and wires on fire.

Thanks to the City of Pittsfield and the Mayor's Office, we've got a handy-dandy schedule to pass along to you regarding Christmas tree removal and pickup.

If your Christmas tree is still sitting in your house, here's an option instead of dragging it out to the curb: before I say this, FYI people really do this! Serve it for dinner.

Now that the holidays are over, do you need your tree picked up? The schedule for pickup has just been issued.

North Adams' holiday tree lighting will have a different look and feel this year, I have been to the tree lighting for so many years, the band playing holiday tunes and the chorus singing, hot cocoa and cookies, all the families coming down to Main street, so many smiles on the children's & adults faces and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus. All wonderful memories.

Please note that Christmas tree pickup in the month of January will accompany the regular trash pickup schedule.
