Veterans in need of home repairs…Berkshire Habitat for Humanity wants to help…
The local Northern Berkshire Habitat for Humanity has put the work out about their 'Brush for Kindness Program." The program is targeted towards veterans whose home is in need of minor repairs or a ramp in order to access their home safely according to a post to the North Adams City Hall Facebook page.
There are some qualifications to take advantage of the program.
1- Applicants must live in the Northern Berkshires, Pownal or Stamford, VT for at least one year prior to the application date.
2- The veteran must have been Honorably Discharged.
3- The veteran must own their own home.
4- The veteran cannot earn more than 80% of the median income for the Northern Berkshire's.
