The local Northern Berkshire Habitat for Humanity has put the work out about their 'Brush for Kindness Program."  The program is targeted towards veterans whose home is in need of minor repairs or a ramp in order to access their home safely according to a post to the North Adams City Hall Facebook page.

There are some qualifications to take advantage of the program.

1- Applicants must live in the Northern Berkshires,  Pownal or Stamford, VT for at least one year prior to the application date.

2- The veteran must have been Honorably Discharged.

3- The veteran must own their own home.

4- The veteran cannot earn more than 80% of the median income for the Northern Berkshire's.

If you, or some veteran you know is interested in the Northern Berkshire Habitat for Humanity "Brush for Kindness Program" applications can be requested by contacting the Northern Berkshire Habitat for Humanity office at 413-664-4440 or emailing your application request to office@northernberkshirehabitat.org.  Their mailing address is P.O.
