With a homicide going down late last Thursday night in Adams, Bennington police were executing a search warrant, which ended up in two arrests.

Bennington Police Detective Bureau of Investigations has been investigating reports of drug activity involving two Bennington residents. During the course of this investigation, investigators were able to secure a search warrant for 107 Main Street, Room 119 Bennington, Vermont.

On Thursday, March 25, 2021 at approximately 17:00hrs, members from the Bennington Police Department executed a search warrant at 107 Main Street, Room 119. As officers were approaching this address, the two residents were observed leaving in a 2020 Nissan Versa. The vehicle was stopped and the two occupants were detained while officers executed the warrant.

Located in the apartment were several plastic bags containing white residue that is suspected to be Cocaine, several tin foil pieces with black residue that is suspected to be Heroin, digital scales and glassine packages, indicative of drug sales.

The two are identified to be Logan Foster, 29, of Bennington and Cassandra Bushee, 27, of Bennington. Both Foster and Bushee were taken into custody and transported to the Bennington Police Department.

A second search warrant was sought and granted for the 2020 Nissan Versa that Bushee and Foster were stopped in. Members executed the warrant on the vehicle at approximately 19:00hrs. Located in the vehicle were 18 grams of suspected Cocaine, 20-glassine full bags of suspected Heroin, glassine bags containing suspected Heroin residue, drug paraphernalia, cell phones, digital scales, $4587.00 in US Currency, Palmetto State Armory AR-15 with two loaded 30 round magazines and a Taurus 9MM handgun with a loaded magazine. Both the AR-15 and Taurus 9MM were found with a round in the chamber.

Foster was charged with Possession of Heroin and Cocaine, Conspiracy, Carrying a Firearm in Commission of a Felony. He was held at the Bennington Police Department for lack of $10,000.00 bail and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court-Bennington Criminal Court Division on 3-26-21.

Bushee was charged with Possession of Heroin and Cocaine, Conspiracy and Violation of Conditions of Release. She was held at the Bennington Police Department for lack of $10,000.00 bail and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court-Bennington Criminal Division on 3-26-21.
