The motorcyclist that lost his life when his motorcycle crashed into a guardrail in Pittsfield Saturday has been identified as 19-year-old Luiz Paulo of Pittsfield according The Berkshire Eagle.

The Berkshire District Attorney's Office released the victim's name according to the report.  It is the belief of investigators that Paulo lost control of his Kawasaki 650 just after noon on Saturday hitting the guardrail on Government Avenue not far from Big Y.   No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

In addition to the Pittsfield Police Department, Pittsfield Fire and County Ambulance also were dispatched to the scene of the accident.   Police continue to investigate and are asking for any witnesses to the accident to contact the department's Traffic Unit at 413-448-9700 extension 560.
