I have been receiving calls at WUPE, a lot of people wanted to know if we have any information on this event that everybody loves. Well, we found out, This year it will be a Virtual Thunderfest!

Late in the winter for the past nine years, a thousand or more people have gathered in Adams for a celebration of winter in the Berkshires called ThunderFest.

Last year it was held on March 7, six days before the pandemic brought an end to large events in Massachusetts. This year, the organizers of the 10th Thunderfest will not let it be canceled, instead, they will take it online!

This traditional outdoor event is always welcomed, but with the pandemic, it will be different this weekend. Instead, they hoping you’ll join themAdams for a FREE Facebook Live concert that will benefit Adams local homegrown restaurants in Adams. Details may change, but here’s what’s happening so far:

WHEN - Noon to 3 pm, Saturday, March 6, 2021

The event is free to attend and Facebook users will find the event, starting at noon on Saturday, March 6 at facebook.com/ThunderFestAdams

PERFORMERS – Brian Benlien, noon to 1 - CJ Field, 1 to 2 – Misty Blues, 2 to 3
Thunderfest will have a gift card giveaway with this event, they have at least 44 gift cards to give away! Some of the participating restaurants are, AJ's Trailside Pub, Angelinas Subs, Bounti-Fare, Chee's Chinese, Corner Lunch, Daily Grind, Haflinger Haus, Lee's Dynasty, Pine Brook Pub, Pizza House, Village Fryer.

Each card is worth $25 at one of the restaurants in Adams. Everyone who attends the Facebook Live Concert has a chance to win.

All you have to do is join the Facebook Live event and then make a comment or click Like or any of the other Reaction icons. Winners will be drawn and announced during intermissions between musical acts and at the end of the concert. We will contact you over Facebook Messenger to make arrangements to get the gift card to you.
