11 Year-Old Boy Still Missing…Police Still Searching
State and Chicopee Police are still searching for 11-year-old Aiden Blanchard, a Chicopee boy missing since last Friday. In a post to the Chicopee Police Department Facebook page earlier this afternoon, Police say the search continued in the area of the Chicopee River near the riverfront boat ramp today. According to the post, police have received numerous calls from the public reinforcing their confidence in the search area.
Mass State Police Air Wing is in the area again today to aid in the search. The main area will be searched again as well as points beyond the original boundaries according to the FB post. Currently no foul play is suspected at this time.
Aiden is 5’ tall, 100 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a red ski jacket and black ski pants. Currently known evidence so far suggests Aiden was alone and near the river when he went missing. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has created a missing person poster for Aiden. Anyone who has information that may help locate Aiden, or who believes they may have seen him, should immediately call 911, Chicopee Police at 413-594-1639, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
Currently there are 99 kids listed as missing on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children website. Of the 99 listed 9 are from Pittsfield. A staggering 5,215 children across the country are listed as missing or exploited.

The Chicopee Police Department continues to investigate all leads in the case of missing 11 year old Aiden Blanchard. The Detectives have received numerous calls from the public. All information places Aiden in the area of the Chicopee River generally near the riverfront close to the boat ramp. The Massachusetts State Police Air wing is in the area today to review all locations previous searched as well as points beyond the original boundaries.
Based on all the information currently known and reviewed by Detectives, no foul play is suspected at this time. Chicopee Police Department and The Massachusetts State Police will continue to investigate all leads, and consider any potential points of the river ways to examine. This investigation due to weather and river conditions might be an extended investigation. All Officers involved have and will continue to utilize all resources to work on this case.
