35th Annual Independence Day Road Race Has Been Canceled

I suppose it was only a matter of time. Just hours after it was announced that the Pittsfield Fourth of July Parade had been canceled for this year, the organizers of the BMC Independence Day Run have decided to cancel their event.

This would have been the 35th anniversary for the very popular 5k run which helps raise funds for Berkshire Medical Center

Organizers of the Independence Day Run cite the obvious concern for caution due to COVID-19 and the ever present need for social distancing to help prevent spread of the virus.
