Subject: Underage Drinking Party- Arrests/Charges
Date: September 14, 2020

On September 10, 2020 evening shift patrol officers who responded to a noise complaint ended up charging 3 people to include an adult male party and resident of the Town of Adams for furnishing alcohol to minors during a “party” at the adult male’s house.

This adult who is 24 years of age had approximately 10 other people at the home with many being under the age of 18.
Upon arrival at the residence, officers noted the noise from the home, and the many juveniles that they recognized from the community to be in fact under the age of 21 and not able to possess alcoholic beverages.

One party; an 18 year old male and Pittsfield resident ran upon arrival of police and was caught down the street. This person was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. It was later determined that this party was on pre-trial conditions with an GPS ankle bracelet for an armed robbery (firearm) while masked.

This party was transported for booking and held on $1,000 cash bail until court the following morning.

A 17 year old juvenile and North Adams resident at the party was charged with assault and battery on a police officer. He was arrested and later released to his parents with charges to be filed in Berkshire Juvenile Court.

The adult male who hosted the party was arrested and transported to the Adams Police Department and held on $1,000 cash bail. He appeared in Northern Berkshire District Court to next morning to answer to the charges regarding this incident of disturbing the peace, and furnishing alcohol to minors.

This adult male had been in court the morning before to answer to a charge of furnishing alcohol to minors from earlier in the year.
