The good news is we will have unseasonably warm temperatures throughout the day on Friday. The bad news is a whole heap of rain will be accompanying the warmth, which will more than likely lead to flooding on the streets of Berkshire County.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning to be in effect until 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

"A combination of moderate to heavy rainfall, snow melt and potential ice jams may cause flooding on rivers and streams," according to the warning via Accuweather. "In addition, some flooding of urban and poor drainage areas is likely, especially where drains are clogged by debris.

"Rivers and streams could see locally fast and significant rises in the vicinity of any ice jams."

In addition to the Flood Warning, a Winter Weather Advisory will take effect on Saturday from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a wintry mix expected through the afternoon accompanied by much colder temperatures. Snow accumulations are expected to reach to about an inch, along with one tenth of an inch of ice.

Be careful on the roads the next couple of days and enjoy the warmer weather while we have it.
