Berkshire Athenaeum Has Fun & Crafts All Through April

It's a month of fun, crafts, and learning, the Berkshire Athenaeum has some wonderful craft kits for Kids, Thanks also to Friends of the library

Children's Story and Craft Kit, Bi-monthly craft kits, and storytime videos from the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield's Public Library. A new craft kit every other week! Kits include craft supplies as well as a link to a storytime and craft video. Best suited for ages 2 - 8.

Crafty Teens Kit - Monthly craft kits for ages 12 - 17 from the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield's Public Library. Kits contain craft supplies as well as a link to a how-to video or written instructions. Call (413) 499-9495 to reserve a kit for curbside pickup or pick up at the Circulation desk during library hours.

Teen Henna Workshop - Teens ages 12 - 17 are invited to sign up for a two-day virtual Henna Workshop with Mandy from Wicked Good Henna! On Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 2 pm , teens will learn how to make their own henna paste, explore the history and culture of henna. On Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 2 pm, teens will check the readiness of their henna paste and experiment with design elements of applying henna. Space is limited and registration is required.

Secret Codes Kit - Does your child enjoy puzzles or solving mysteries? Looking for an engaging activity for April school break? Call the Berkshire Athenaeum, the Pittsfield's Public Library, at (413) 499-9495 to reserve a Secret Code Kit for your child today! Children ages 8 - 12 (younger with adult help) learn how to encode and decode two secret messages using different types of ciphers. Kits include cipher wheels and coded messages as well as a link to an instructional video. Kits can be picked up by appointment starting Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
