A coroner in Wyoming says slain cross-country traveler Gabby Petito was strangled. The 22-year-old woman's body was found last month near an undeveloped camping area in remote northern Wyoming along the border of Grand Teton National Park. Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue said in a news conference Tuesday he was prevented by Wyoming law from saying much more about the case. He did say however that the body of Gabby Petito was outside for up to 4 weeks.

The coroner had earlier classified Petito’s death as a homicide but had not previously disclosed how she was killed. Petito's boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, is considered a person of interest in her disappearance and remains unaccounted for.

During Press coverage which was on all major news channels yesterday at 2:30, the Wyoming coroner was reportedly targeted with threats and homophobic slurs when someone hacked a reporter’s account during the live-streamed press conference. It was unclear who was behind the terrible and nasty attack.

A couple of days ago protesters left several laundry baskets in the front yard of Brian Laundrie's home in North Port, his parents emerged overnight to remove them.

Brian's parents were seen Sunday night clearing their front lawn of the white laundry bins that were left there in an apparent protest. They also removed a tribute poster dedicated to Gabby Petito. They also retrieved a package in their mailbox.

The home in Sarasota County has been the focus of intense media attention in the weeks following Gabby's disappearance. In addition to being the only person of interest in her case, Brian was indicted and is wanted on federal bank fraud charges.
