This afternoon the 104th Fighter Wing out of Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield will flyover Massachusetts to honor of medical workers and first responders.  As a side note today is the beginning of Nurses Week.

F-15C Eagle aircraft from the Air National Guard will use the flyovers as training as to not add any additional cost to the country.

The closest location to the Berkshires will be in Springfield and Westfield.  At 12:35 the F-15c Eagles will flyover Springfield’s Mercy Medical Center, Baystate Medical Center and Holyoke Medical Center.  They will make the turn towards Westfield for 12:40 flyovers of Western Mass Hospital and Baystate Noble Hospital.

Earlier in the afternoon today the Guard will be flying over Boston and Worcester.

If you do take a trip from the Berkshire’s west towards Westfield or Springfield the weather today will allow for good visibility with a mix of clouds and sun and temps in the upper 50tys.

The Air Force Thunderbirds and the Navy’s Blue Angels have been putting on flyover demonstrations across the country for the last couple of weeks.
