The Pittsfield Police Department will team up with Action Ambulance and the Safe Kids Coalition for a car seat safety checkpoint this weekend.

The event, which is absolutely free, will take place at Berkshire Crossing on Sunday, May 27 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

"Many parents install their child's car seat incorrectly. This is the perfect time to make sure your little ones are secured in your motor vehicle correctly. On-site personnel will also install your new car seat," says the Pittsfield Police.

For those who want to get their current car seat inspected, or new car seat properly installed, it will take "approximately 10-15 minutes" for it to happen, according to the PPD.
