From the Roomba to the Beetl – It Picks Up After Your Dog

During last weekend’s 60-degree thaw, I took the opportunity to pick up my dog Bruce’s poop that accumulated in the yard over the winter and hidden by snow.

I could not believe the amount that I collected.  Pounds of dog poop and 30-minutes later the task was done.

I got to thinking that surely technology has advanced enough where the concept of the Roomba robot vacuum has been developed and moved outside to be able to pick up my Pitbull’s poop.

Of course, someone did!  A simple search for “Dog Poop Robot” immediately brought me to “Beetl Robotics” dog poop removal system.

Currently I will have to continue to pick it up ole’ school until the Beetl is available at retail.  No announcement yet on the retail launch date or the cost.
