While on the StoryWalk® (which can be completed at any time) enter a free raffle to win one of five limited edition “When I Close My Eyes” posters signed by the author! The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a tote bag full of library swag! Simply scan the QR code at Dottie's Coffee Lounge (the start of the StoryWalk®) and the QR code at the Children's Library (the end of the StoryWalk®) and you will automatically be entered to win one of the five prizes!

You can also stop by the Children’s Library at the Berkshire Athenaeum (1 Wendell Avenue) Monday-Thursday, 10 am to 9 pm, or on Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, to enter the raffle in person. While inside the library, StoryWalk® participants are encouraged to check out the amazing mural inspired by the book. Masks are required inside the Children's Library.

Coming up on Monday, July 12 at 11 am, join author Ty Allan Jackson in the Berkshire Athenaeum's auditorium for Storytime and Craft! Ty will read his book "When I Close My Eyes" to be followed by an opportunity to meet the author and participate in a collage craft activity inspired by the book.

This event is free, and no registration is required. Masks are required for all indoor children's programs at the library. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition (VBPC) and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
