Gordmans Is Holding A Job Fair Today At Peebles North Adams

Another store at Steeple Plaza is closing its doors.

Peebles is set to close in early February. But space will be refilled quickly by a Gordmans. And that store is looking for employees.

Stage Stores, Peebles parent company is holding a job fair at the store today from 11 A.M. to 8 P.M. While walk-in applicants are welcome, the company also invites job seekers to apply online first.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that company benefits await full-time employees, and full time and part-time schedules are available, but Stage Stores would not say just how many employees would be needed. They're looking at a February 18 Gordmans grand opening date.

Stage Stores — the parent company of Peebles and several other stores— says all of its store brands will be converted to Gordmans, which is described as an “off-price” retail store featuring apparel and home goods. Not all the stores will be converted. A Peebles in Southampton will close and not change over to Gordmans.
