This is the month where candy is everywhere!

A website called CandyStore.com just released its annual study on the most popular Halloween candy in every state and the results really aren't what you'd guess.

The results are based on candy sales in the months leading up to Halloween for the past 12 years

And Skittles won more states than Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Candy corn is number one in five states. Saltwater taffy and Hot Tamales both won three states. It's all very confusing.

Nationwide, the Halloween candy that people have bought the most in the past 12 years is Skittles. Here in Massachusetts Butterfinger is the number one candy treat!

The rest of the top 10 are:

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

M&M's

Snickers

Starburst

candy corn? I never thought I would see this in the top ten.

Hot Tamales

Tootsie Pops

Sour Patch Kids

and Hershey's.
