Over the weekend in Clarksburg, at Peter A. Cook Veterans Memorial Field, it was all about the pickles. From the vendors to the food trucks to the 2,000+ people who attended!

Most importantly, you can't have a pick fest without a pickle-eating contest. And I was one of the few who actually survived it. Here's how it all played out.

Here's What It's Like To Eat Six Giant Pickles In Seven Minutes

Each contestant was given six Mt. Olive Jumbo Kosher Dills. Contestants ranged from kids to adults since it was an all-ages event. I will say some of the kids couldn't even get past two pickles during the contest.

The contest rules were simple: you eat all six pickles, you win. No time limit either.

Here's the full, unedited video:

How I Felt Afterward

What can I say? I crowned the pickle-eating contest champion. As you can see in the video, I had a little gag reflex, but only because a little pickle juice went down the wrong pipe. But other than that, health-wise, I felt pretty fine. Of course, I made sure to drink some water afterward to stay hydrated.

My advice if you're going to participate in a pickle-eating contest: aim for the cucumber, not the juice. The juice will fill you up too quickly, whereas the veggie will not. Pickle Fest will happen again in 2027, and I would love to see if someone could actually beat me next time. Either way, it doesn't matter; I was in it for the fun and wasn't trying to put myself in the spotlight. Drop your video in our app if you'd like to challenge me; I'd love to see them!
