Voters in Pittsfield’s Ward 5 and Ward 6 have preliminary City Council races today as the city holds its preliminary election. In Ward 5, where Donna Todd Rivers has decided to not seek re-election, it’s a three-way race between Longtime former Ward 5 Councilor Jonathan Lothrop, Eugene Maselli and Patrick Kavey. In Ward 6, where John Krol is not seeking re-election, it’s a four-way race between Craig Gaetani, Edward Carmel, Joe Nichols, and Dina Guiel Lampiasi.

The entire city is voting in a four-way mayoral race between the incumbent mayor Linda Tyer, City Councilor At-Large Melissa Mazzeo, Scott Graves, and Karen Kalinowski. The top two vote-getters in each race will move on to the general election on November 5th. The polls are open until 8 PM at these locations.
