NEW YEAR’S DAY SWEARING-IN CEREMONY SET FOR NORTH ADAMS OFFICIALS

Everyone is cordially invited to City Council Chambers, North Adams City Hall, 10 Main Street, for the Organization of City Government on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.

The City of North Adams Organization of Government is set for tomorrow. The first gathering of the newly elected City Council members, School Committee members and mayor is set for 10 o’ clock tomorrow morning in City Council Chambers.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that the agenda calls for council members and school committee members from both North Adams Public Schools and McCann Technical High School to recite the oath of office. The city council members will elect a council president and vice president. Mayor Thomas Bernard will be sworn in for his second term in office, and he will also present his inaugural address.
