Another suspect has been charged in connection with the August shooting at October Mountain State Forest.

According to the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office, 19-year-old Christopher Frazier of Pittsfield was arraigned on Monday in Berkshire Superior Court. Frazier had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one count each of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery be means of a dangerous weapon, armed kidnapping with serious bodily injury, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, along with two counts each of kidnapping while being armed with a firearm and assault and battery.

Judge Daniel Ford ordered Frazier held without the right to bail at the Berkshire County House of Corrections.

It is alleged that Frazier assaulted and shot a 19-year-old man, who has been identified as Nick Carnevale, near Ashley Reservoir in Washington on August 21, 2018.  It is also alleged he assaulted a 21 year old man and allegedly kidnapped the men and an 18 year old female during the same incident.

Three other suspects, Daquan M. Douglas, 24 of Pittsfield, Kevin Nieves, 19, of Pittsfield, Luis A. Del Valle Rodriguez, 23, of Pittsfield, were previously arrested in relation to the shooting.

The Berkshire County District Attorney's Office states that the investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services and Ballistics Sections, forensic scientists assigned to the State Police Crime Laboratory, state troopers from the Lee and Cheshire barracks, members of the Pittsfield, Dalton, Washington and Hinsdale Police Departments and the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department.
