The two big trees have been installed at either end of Main Street in North Adams and crews will be decorating them along with the downtown streets in time for North Adams' annual Tree Lighting ceremony which has been scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 27th at 6 P.M. The rain date for the ceremony is Friday, Dec. 6th.

The North Adams Office of Tourism is inviting everyone to gather around the tree at Monument Square on Main Street for the countdown to the tree lighting and to thousands of twinkling lights that adorn Main Street.

The First Baptist Church will be offering a limited supply of free hot cocoa to keep us warm. The North Adams Fire Department’s fire engine and the Drury High School Band will escort Santa Claus down Main Street, stopping alongside the tree to deliver goody bags to the first 500 children greet him.
