The Driver of a pickup truck was injured Tuesday after the vehicle struck a home on Elm Street.

The Berkshire Eagle reports the driver's name was not released, according to Pittsfield police was transported to Berkshire Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The pickup was traveling eastbound in the 200 block of Elm Street around 2:30 p.m. when it left the roadway and struck a home. The vehicle then came to a stop near a tree in the yard of the property.

The crash prompted first responders to close a portion of Elm Street to traffic for about over an hour Tuesday afternoon.

There is an investigation ongoing.
