Rain, Snow Showers, Cold Temps Accompany the End of 2020
With no sign of the foot-plus of snow that fell on the Berkshires just a short time ago, the National Weather Service is calling for very cold temperatures and freezing rain and icy conditions this week as we say good riddance to 2020 and welcome in 2021.
With some rain showers today, expect temps to drop Tuesday and Wednesday with a high only in the mid 20s tomorrow and a low dropping down into the teen’s tomorrow night. Wednesday will bring some sun and warming to the mid 30s.
Rain and snow showers are likely to wrap up the last day of the year with temperatures reaching the mid-40s. New Year’s Day may deliver some snow early before a possible change over to rain with a high in the low 40s.

Tuesday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 15. West wind 7 to 13 mph.
Wednesday-Partly sunny, with a high near 35. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night-A chance of snow after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thursday-Rain and snow showers likely, becoming all rain after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Thursday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.
New Year's Day-A chance of snow before 10am, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Friday Night-Rain likely before 4am, then a chance of freezing rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Saturday-A chance of rain showers, snow, and freezing rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
