Severe Thunderstorm Watch Posted for this Afternoon in the Berkshires
As tropical storm Elsa continues to threaten Florida today, parts of the Berkshires could experience serious thunderstorms accompanied by hale and strong winds similar to the storm activity in the Berkshires last week.
The National Weather Service has posted a Hazardous Weather Outlook and has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 8pm tonight. Below is the complete National Weather Service forecast for the Berkshires.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. West wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Some of the storms could be severe. Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. West wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
