The bad news for 2020 rolls on. After recommendations in general from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Tri-town Health Department, the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has decided to cancel all events, activities, and performances held during the 2020 Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas Weekend.

These Chamber-sponsored events include the Holiday Concert, Holiday House Tours, and The Main Street Recreation.

The Stockbridge Chamber did not take the decision lightly. It was only after much deliberation and discussion and with respect to the ever-changing uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation, that they decided to cancel.

From the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce's website:

Maintaining the health and safety of our patrons, entertainers, homeowners, volunteers, and staff is our top priority. The Chamber’s decision to cancel the 2020 weekend events and performances has been influenced by...an abundance of concern for what the organization can do to best ensure the well-being of everyone in our community.

The Chamber plans to keep a strong social media presence and is exploring the possibility of going virtual, sharing archival videos, and highlights with all its patrons.

Thank you for your support during this difficult and unprecedented event. We regret the inconvenience to you. We very much look forward to welcoming you back next year in 2021.
