In an effort to teach kids how to grow plants during this pandemic, Stop & Shop supermarkets will be giving away free seed pods starting Thursday, May 28. Activity books will also be offered with the seed pods to teach children how to grow plants and herbs while staying at home.

According to WWLP/Channel 22 news out of Springfield, it's all part of Stop & Shop's Grow And Learn Program. The program will feature over 20 different types of herbs and vegetables.

Stop & Shop launched the Grow And Learn Program as a way to help parents creatively educate and entertain their kids while homeschooling. Stop & Shop will even have a Grow And Learn app so that kids can watch their plants come to life.

Find out all the details at WWLP's website. What a truly great idea and a great way to keep kids busy learning and having fun at the same time!
