The Fun Of Soapbox Derby Is Coming Back To Pittsfield This Weekend!
When was the last time you were a part of a soapbox derby? Here is your chance to bring back some great memories and have lots of fun.
Westside Legends is hosting their 1st Westside Super Soap Box Derby coming your way this Saturday, September 3rd from 12 pm to 3 pm with a rain date of September 4th.
It will be a fun and exciting day of activities for the entire family! The check-in will start at noon and the first race starts at 12:30 pm. The location of the event will be at the corner of Columbus and Robbins Ave.
There will be two race classes: an adult class, for ages 18 and older and a class for kids from ages 10 to 17.
Trophies will be presented for 1st and 2nd place in each division, plus Best Show Car.
The racers will zoom on down Robbins Ave and the finish line will be at Southern Ave. Some of the folks who are making this happen are the Berkshire Environmental Action Team (BEAT), Berkshire Habitat for Humanity, Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC), and Blue Q.
Come on down and have some fun and meet the neighborhood. While you are there, you can check out the newest mural, developed by Berkshire Habitat by Humanity.
