Summer officially kicked off earlier this week and with the arrival of the first full weekend of summer we should experience typical New England weather for this time of year. Everything from sun, showers, thunderstorms with highs in the low to upper 80s.

According to National Weather Service Saturday will be on the cloudy side with thunderstorms later in the day. Sunday is expected to be the brighter of the two weekend days with sun and highs in the upper 80s. Below is the long-range forecast for the Berkshires from the National Weather Service…

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. South wind around 5 mph.

A slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. South wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
