Subject: Trespassing Leads to Drug Charges

On July 17, 2020 officers assigned to the evening shift arrested a Springfield woman for trespassing at elementary school which led to possession of heroin charges and illegal possession of prescription medication charges.

At approximately 11:30 PM evening shift officers observed a female party carrying a backpack behind Hoosac Valley Elementary School which is posted “No Trespassing 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM”. After a brief investigation patrol officers arrested the female party on the charge of trespassing.

It was also determined that this female party was currently on probation for drug charges, and had an extensive history of drug possession and drug distribution charges. She also admitted she possessed several bundles of a substance suspected to be heroin which was located in her backpack.

The female party was booked at the Adams Police Department and released on personal recognizance with the promise to appear in Northern Berkshire District Court on the following charges;

M.G.L. Chapter 266 Section 120 - Trespass
M.G.L. Chapter 94C Section 34/B - Possess Class A (Heroin), Subsequent Offense
M.G.L. Chapter 94C Section 34/I - Possess Class E (Illegal Prescription Medication)
