Your Recyclable Bottles and Cans can help those in need of meals and home supplies
With many recycling redemption centers closed during the pandemic and now slowly reopening, your collection of recyclable bottles and cans have been growing. If you are in need of doing something to help others, think about donating your recyclable bottles and cans to the First Baptist Church in Pittsfield.
According to an article in The Berkshire Eagle, the church is accepting recyclable donations to help fund their ‘Feed My Sheep” program that provides meals for those in need in the community, as well as their pantry. Meals are served every Monday at 5:30 pm. The pantry is open on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 12:30 for those in need of hygiene items, cleaning supplies, food, and paper products.
You can help the efforts of the pantry and the “Feed My Sheep” program by bringing your clean and empty recyclable bottles and cans to the church located at 88 South Street in Pittsfield Tuesday and Wednesdays between 9 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
The First Baptist Church’s food pantry funded by the church and donations and is run by church volunteers. The pantry is available to those in need of hygiene items, cleaning supplies, food, and paper products.
