3rd Suspect in Fatal Robbins Avenue Stabbing Surrenders; Held Without Bail

A 20-year-old Pittsfield man suspected in the fatal stabbing of 34-year-old William Catalano surrendered at Berkshire Superior Court on Monday morning, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office.

Jason Sefton was arrested at around 9:30 a.m. Monday morning in response to a warrant issued last week. He appeared before Judge Jennifer Tyne and had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf on one count of murder.

Judge Tyne ordered that Sefton be held without the right to bail at the Berkshire County House of Corrections. Sefton will be back in court on Nov. 16 for a status conference.

It is alleged that Sefton, along with two other Pittsfield natives, 28-year-old Bruce Romano and 22-year-old Anthony Boone, stabbed and beat William Catalano on Oct. 15. Romano and Boone are also being held without the right to bail.
