Searching For Armed And Dangerous Raul Cardona

Keep Your doors locked. The Bennington Police Department are continuing their investigation and seeking an arrest warrant, in the death of Patrick Mullinnex that happened on August 3, 2022, at approximately 9:15 am.

The incident took place at 324 Pleasant Street, apartment #1. In Bennington. The next of kin has been notified.

Bennington Police went to the location and found a male with a gunshot wound to the chest in the residence. At the time when police arrived, the victim was deceased.

During the investigation, the Bennington Police Department learned the apartment is the location of a person currently on parole and supervised by the Vermont Department of Correction.

Investigators identified Raul E. Cardona as the person responsible for the death of Patrick Mullinnex.
Cardona should be considered armed and dangerous.

Cardona is from the Springfield, Massachusetts area and investigators believe he may have left Vermont and returned to Massachusetts. Attached to this release is an image of the offender, Raul E. Cardona.

For the time being, Right now the area of the crime remains under the control of the Bennington Police Department. Already during the course of this investigation, investigators have conducted two search warrants.

The Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team assisted Bennington Police Department investigators in processing the crime scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Bennington Police Department with assistance from the Homeland Security Unit, Vermont State Police, and Bennington County State’s Attorney’s Office.
