The folks of Berkshire Pay it Forward have another community Meal Event Scheduled for this Saturday, May 16th at the Home Depot, Wal-Mart entrance

Berkshire Pay It Forward is a committee of volunteers, formed by members of Local 12325 of the United Steelworkers Union, who have mobilized to support and provide nutritious meals to families who have been rendered unemployed by COVID-19 layoffs.

Berkshire Pay It Forward is collecting donations to cover the cost of food at their planned Community Meal events, which will provide prepackaged meals to community members in need.

Their fourth pop up event is scheduled to take place this Saturday, May 16th, at 1:00 pm at the Home Depot, Wal-Mart entrance, 555 Hubbard Ave, Pittsfield. They will have prepackaged frozen meals to hand out to families facing unemployment due to COVID-19 layoffs.

Each package contains 4 servings of Chicken breast, Cheddar Potatoes, Broccoli, and dessert. Chef Brandon Horn will also be donating Soup and bread. All meals are FREE OF CHARGE available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

In order to maintain proper social distancing and safety protocol, meals will be prepackaged and ready for a drive up to pick up; all volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves.
