Berkshire Weekend Forecast…Perfect for Planting

Following a week of snow, cold and wind, a beautiful spring day is predicted for the Berkshires tomorrow. Saturday will be the day this weekend to get outside and enjoy spring in New England in all its glory. We are expecting mostly sunny skis tomorrow with temps warming into the mid-60s. Sunday is a different story with rain likely and cooler with a high in the mid-50s.

If you are planning on planting this weekend the Farmer’s Almanac suggests that April is the perfect month to start planting seeds outdoors in New England. The veggie seeds they suggest it is ok to drop in the ground early spring includes; Carrots, Peas, Radishes, Spinach and Turnips.
